We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There are many ride-day jobs to choose from, including registration and cheering at the finish line, and we also need year-round volunteers in the office.
Cycle Committee Volunteer Opportunities:
Logistics Committee Help keep CF Cycle for Life costs down by soliciting donated items, such as food and water, and in-kind services such as bicycle mechanics and photography. We also need volunteers to help modify routes and secure rest stop locations.
Fundraising Committee Grow the ride by recruiting new corporate sponsors and fundraising teams. The Fundraising Committee works year-round to bring in new revenue and participants.
Day-Of Event Volunteer Opportunities:
Setup Join the early bird crew and help set up tables, tents and chairs for the event.
Clean Up Help with breaking down tables, chairs, banners and more.
Registration Volunteers Collect cyclist pledge envelopes, register participants and hand out T-Shirts and route maps.
Greeters Direct participants to the right area and assist with bib pinning.
Ride Marshals Act as both Good Will and Safety Ambassador as a cyclist on the road.
Motorcycle Marshals Just like a ride marshal, but on a motorcycle.
SAG (Support and Gear) Volunteers Ride the route in your vehicle (SUV, mini-van or truck must have room for cyclist and bicycle) in case a cyclist needs a lift.
Route Marking Assist with marking cycle route and setting up signage along the route the day before the ride.
Rest Stops Cheer cyclists and hand out beverages at one of our rest stops along the route. This position is also great for groups!
Food Volunteers Food volunteers will help set up food and beverages in the designated area, as well as serve food items to each participant.
Finish Line Volunteers Cheer on cyclists as they come in and help set-up and breakdown the area.
Musical Entertainers If you are a DJ and would like to donate your time, please contact us.
Photographers We need photographers who can volunteer to take photos of teams, sponsors, start and finish line, route and celebration photos.
Amateur Radio Operators (HAMs) Help us keep eyes and ears on all cyclists throughout the day.
Year-Round Volunteer Opportunity:
Office Volunteers We are always looking for volunteers to help during various times in our offices. We work on many tasks to prepare for the ride, including mailings, packet preparation, phone banking, and much more.
